We’re starting to see the very early signs of fall and are looking forward to some cooler autumn days! We’re trying something new this month and sharing updates from all of our projects currently in construction. We’ve been busy out on site this month and making good progress! In the office, we’re excited to share that our architecture team has started working on a new custom home project for Catskill Terraces.
SkyHaus Roof Deck Progress
Our August construction update was focused on SkyHaus, so be sure to check that out to see the stair and lots of tile installed. Recently, the railing installation at the roof deck was completed – it looks amazing! We’ve also started the screen installation around the roof terrace screen porch. On the first floor, Kim Kiniry and his team are hard at work on finish grading in prep for landscaping.
Tile and Decks at Fermata
At Fermata, we continue to make progress on tile – we’ve now nearly completed both of the guest bathroom showers and they look fantastic. We’ve also poured deck piers and completed both of the decks earlier this week. Braxton Alexander has been hard at work on all of the built-ins, and we’re excited to see the pieces starting to come together!
IRIE House Windows + Insulation
Over at IRIE House, we’re gearing up for drywall! Windows have all been installed, the skylight is in place in the main bathroom and insulation is complete! The large Centor folding door is in place, allowing the house to open up to the central courtyard, and mechanical and electrical rough-in have all been completed prior to insulation. The fireplace, an impressive corner-style unit, has also been installed!
Introducing Quattro
IRIE House and Fermata are both homes at Catskill Terraces. Now, we’re excited to start work on our newest custom home for Catskill Terraces – Quattro! The team at Studio MM has just wrapped up their first phase of design and are jumping into figuring out the exterior design.
Quattro is a home for a sweet young couple who have been living upstate for a while. The name Quattro originates from a few different sources! In numerology, four symbolizes structure and stability. Our clients are morning people who set their alarms to 4:44am. They spent their honeymoon in Italy (Quattro means four in Italian) and this will be their fourth home together. It also echoes the four cards that one of our clients pulls for his daily tarot readings, and makes our clients think of the four seasons and the four cardinal directions.
Needless to say, our design team is super inspired! Programmatically, the house will be a two bed, two and a half bath home with an art studio. We’re focusing on Hudson Valley views, the symbology of squares and ideas about symmetry, and creating a sense of privacy as our clients and guests approach the home. We’re looking forward to sharing more details about this project soon!
