Are you craving fresh produce this winter? We’re getting our fill of the Hudson Valley’s best cold-weather veggies from Long Season Farm’s winter CSA this season. And let me assure you, the selection and quality in every box will not disappoint!
Winter CSA – Long Season Farm
Located in Kerhonkson, Long Season Farm is a small family-run organic farm that uses sustainable growing practices to produce fresh produce all year long.
For their winter CSA, they’ve selected hardy winter vegetables that are native to the Hudson Valley which enables them to use as little fossil fuel energy as possible during the growing process. The winter CSA consists of ten distributions available for pick-up every other week from late November through March. With each distribution, CSA members receive a newsletter by email with some background on the vegetables included as well as recipe suggestions for the produce.
Boxes include seasonal vegetables such as butternut squash, pumpkins, carrots, onions, garlic, kale, collards, chard, Chinese cabbage, mustard, potatoes, winter radishes, beets, and salad mixes.
