Hey coffee lovers – here’s a post for you! Between all the coffee shops, cafes, bakeries, and other eateries in the Hudson Valley there are lots of places that specialize in good coffee. We’re sharing a list of our favorite spots in the Hudson Valley for a cup of joe!
Hudson Valley Coffee Shops
Olsen & Company
Saugerties and Woodstock
Cute coffee shop in the center of Saugerties offering breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, bread, baked goods, and local grocery items in addition to their specialty coffee drinks. Check out their new location now open in Woodstock!

Monkey Joe Roasting Company
Kingston
Monkey Joe Roasting Company has been roasting specialty grade coffee in Midtown Kingston since 2000. Stop by their shop in a very cool renovated turn-of-the-century building located in the heart of historic Kingston for an iced coffee this summer or purchase a bag of beans to brew your own at home!
Commissary!
New Paltz
A great spot for organic, fair-trade coffee or tea. Offerings also include their famous socialist sliding scale soup and small plates for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. While you’re there, be sure you stop by their flagship store Lagusta’s Lucious, and pick up some of their delicious chocolate! Check Commisary’s Instagram account(@llcommissary) for daily specials!

Rough Draft Bar & Books
Kingston
Much more than a coffee shop, Rough Draft is a bar, bookstore, and cafe all in one. Perfect spot for reading, drinking, or conversation with friends. Sit outside at their Uptown Kingston location.

Bread Alone
Boiceville, Kingston, Rhinebeck, Woodstock
Although this family-owned bakery offers a lot more than just coffee, Bread Alone is still one of my favorite spots to grab a latte. The Boiceville location is currently operating out of a temporary cafe stand while the main building is under renovations. Once construction is complete the new bakery will be carbon neutral and run on 100% renewable energy, generating power only from the sun and scrap wood.
