It’s time for farmers’ markets all over the Hudson Valley to open again for the season! There are so many benefits to shopping at local farmers’ markets. The fruits and vegetables you buy at the farmers market are the freshest and tastiest available. Fruits are allowed to ripen fully in the field and are brought directly to you—no long-distance shipping, no gassing to simulate the ripening process, no sitting for weeks in storage. Buying from local markets also ensures that you’ll be purchasing what’s locally grown in our region and what’s in season. Plus, not only are Hudson Valley Farmers’ Markets the best place to purchase a variety fresh produce but shopping there is great way to support local farmers in our area.
Here’s a list of some of our favorite local markets in the Hudson Valley to check out!
