Happy Spring! As the weather continues to get warmer many of us are getting out in the world for the first time in over a year. Like I’m sure so many of you are feeling, I’m very excited about starting to safely socialize again and don’t know what to do first!
One of the things I miss most about living Upstate pre-COVID is going out to eat. Here are some ideas for fun outdoor dining (and drinking!) options to explore in the Hudson Valley and Catskills this spring.
Diego’s Taqueria
For street-style tacos with unique variations (including delicious vegan-friendly options!!) check out Diego’s in Uptown Kingston. These delicious soft tacos pair perfectly with their house margarita! Outdoor seating and indoor socially distanced seating available.
Love Bird
Enjoy fried chicken and specials at this new hot spot in Accord! Outdoor seating available.
Tuthilltown Spirits
Located in Gardiner, Tuthilltown Spirits is the home of Hudson Whiskey. Take a tour of the brewery, sample different varieties of spirits with a tasting flight, or take advantage of their lawn seating to enjoy the scenic views with a cocktail.
Huckleberry
This New Paltz home has been converted into a relaxed bar and eatery. Sit on the patio and enjoy pub-style food and craft cocktails.
Westwind Orchard
Enjoy some wood-fired pizza and hard cider while taking in scenic views from the grounds at Westwind Orchard.
Arrowood Brewery
Visit Arrowood Farms in Accord (right across the street from Westwind Orchard) for a tasting, sit out on the patio, and take a walk around the hop yard and beautiful grounds. Or check out their New Paltz location Arrowood Outpost.
Check back soon as we’ll be sharing more local adventures in the coming weeks. Next up – Farms and Farmers Markets!
