While we’re waiting for the warm spring weather to kick in, we thought we’d share this warming cocktail made with locally distilled spirits. We recently made a trip to the tasting room at Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery in Gardiner. After trying a selection of Tuthilltown’s whiskeys and liquors, we couldn’t help but bring home some goodies with us! For a Manhattan with a twist, try the recipe below for a Hudson Cacao Manhattan.
Hudson Valley Spirits: Hudson Cacao Manhattan
2 oz. Hudson Whiskey Four Grain Bourbon
1 oz. Cacao Liqueur
2-3 splashes of Basement Bitters
Combine the bourbon, cacao liqueur, and bitters in a glass or pitcher over ice.
Stir ingredients together with ice.
Strain into a glass of your choice and enjoy!
A perfect cocktail to sip in front of a fire during these last cool days of early spring…
