Two weekends ago we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at Lot 7 of Catskill Terraces with potential new clients, friends, architects, builders, and more! We enjoyed beautiful views, talked about land, discussed custom homes with Studio MM, and tried out lots of different flavors of fresh-baked brick oven pizzas.
The views were beautiful from the upper Lot 7 where we met everyone who came to the event. The road is looking amazing and so is the new fresh grass!
During the first hour or so of the event, guests were able to chat with our architecture team, check out a few display boards of pre-designed Catskill Terraces’ homes, and flip through some “behind the design” portfolios for custom homes Fermata and IRIE House. As everyone met one another, Hudson Valley Al Forno was prepping some fresh pies!
Instead of each person having their own pie, these expert pizza makers had us try all of their different flavors family style! It was so amazing.
We hosted two informal group conversations during the event. The first one on Lot 5 focused on how Studio MM thinks about site, orientation, and site conservation when designing a new home. We talked about how to maximize both views and daylight, what role passive heating and cooling play when designing for efficiency and how the studio tailors each of their designs to best take advantage of each unique site.
The second conversation took place on Lot 7, during which we talked about the process and goals of creating Catskill Terraces. We shared why we focus on creating parcels of land instead of a tight-nit subdivision, what we’re looking for when we develop land, and how we design for clients that crave privacy and a nature-focused retreat.
It was such a successful day and we are so grateful for everyone who stopped by!
