This week, we have a very exciting update to share – we have begun designing our newest community of homes! This property will be known as Catskill Terraces and, as we shared a couple of months ago, is on a stunning site in Saugerties. The terraced, rocky site will feature a combination of custom designed homes for individual clients as well as pre-designed homes that will be available for purchase soon. We’ve been hard at work on site planning, schematic design, and project planning and are eager to share progress. This week, check out a sneak peek of three of our new designs. We’ll have more information and updates to share in the near future, so make sure to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Instagram to stay in the loop!
Presenting: Plan Séquence
In film, a Plan Séquence is a type of camera shot – it consists of a single shot that takes place in several places of the same place, or successively in several places that are linked to one another. This dimension of ubiquity means that the Plan Séquence necessarily includes many camera movements, panoramas, and tracking shots. Named after this filming technique, the first design that we’re sharing today is a single story home that focuses key frame views within a shifted floor plan. Designed as a contrast to the surrounding forest, the horizontal design of the house features an abundance of outdoor spaces and living areas.
Presenting: Ridge Rise
Ridge Rise is a two story house that features a glass walled dining space and lots of wall space for focal artwork. Featuring a generous pantry and kitchen island space, this home is perfect for those that love entertaining, family cooking, or experimenting with fresh and local ingredients from local Hudson Valley farms.
Presenting: Legato
Legato’s two primary volumes are linked by a two story entryway that smoothly connects work spaces with living spaces. Private and public spheres are separated into two stories, with generous room for kids’ bedrooms or guest suites upstairs. The downstairs features an open plan living space and both covered and open outdoor living areas that look out across an eastern sunrise.
We’ll be sharing another sneak peek in January of a few more new designs, so keep an eye out for our next post!
