We’re big fans of the slow and steady revitalization of Kerhonkson’s Main Street. This week, we’re taking a trip downtown to check out a few of the businesses that have opened up in the past couple of years.
Mill & Main Provisions
Kerhonkson now has it’s own coffee bar and marketplace – and they’re open late! This is the perfect spot for a last-minute forgotten item for dinner at home or to pick up a special treat on the weekend. They make delicious coffees, serve pastries and breakfast sandwiches and have recently started serving more hot foods for lunch. We’re big fans of their pre-made sandwiches for a lunch on the go.

Mill & Main Restaurant
Directly adjacent to the Provisions is a full service restaurant that now also serves brunch on the weekends. Featuring a rotating seasonal menu with ever-changing specials, we’re excited to try something new each time we visit. The atmosphere is friendly, the family inspired food is delicious and we are so happy to have a new favorite in town!

Flying Goose Tavern
The most recent addition to Kerhonkson’s Main Street is Flying Goose Tavern. The goal is that it will be a neighborhood bar where locals can come for a drink. The Tavern welcomes longstanding community members and newcomers alike, and prices fall in a wide range, giving everyone an option to enjoy. Currently, Flying Goose is hosting pop-up food vendors. The first to be featured is Eat Church – recent menu items have included dumplings, Korean fried chicken and Tom Kha Gai, a Thai coconut chicken soup.

Kerhonkson Fire Company
Just down the street from Mill & Main and Flying Goose is the local fire house. Every month they serve a pancake breakfast – if you missed it this past weekend, be sure to stop by in April. 2024 is also the 100th Anniversary of the Kerhonkson Volunteer Fire Company. The Company is hosting an anniversary parade and celebration on June 1st, which will include a live band and a judged parade of floats by local community organizations.
Rail Trail Kerhonkson
Finally, at the end of Main Street you can find one of our favorite features of the Hudson Valley – the O&W Rail Trail! The rail trail is split into three parts. The section that starts in Kerhonkson is about 3.5 miles long and brings you to Granite Rd. in Accord. A short bike ride through Accord lets you continue on the remaining 15 miles of trail that lead all the way to Kingston. We think it’s the perfect way to work up an appetite before a visit to Mill & Main or Flying Goose!
