Spring Fun in the Hudson Valley!
It’s springtime again in the Hudson Valley and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to get outside, enjoy the warm weather and celebrate this beautiful season. From strawberry festivals to county fairs, the Hudson Valley is bustling with fun events for the whole family starting each year in the early spring. Here are some of the festivals we’re looking forward to this season. We hope you’ll join in on the fun!
The Hudson Valley Beer & Fine Food Festival
Hunter Mountain

TAP® New York! Is New York State’s largest craft beer and food festival held annually at Hunter Mountain. Featuring the best beer from over 180 breweries,TAP® New York offers everything from IPAs and lagers to weissbiers, doppel and trippel bocks, stouts, ales.

If you’re looking for a traditional county fair, the Hudson Valley Fair is your best bet during the spring. Fun for kids of all ages, including carnival rides, a petting zoo, and fireworks on Saturday nights. Daily entertainment includes a Banana Derby (monkeys riding dogs), hypnotists, and a lion and tiger show.
Gardiner Cupcake Festival

Held at Wright’s Farm, this festival kicks off with a 5K through the orchard and then segues into a day packed with cupcakes (more than 20,000!), music and vendors. In addition to munching on delicious treats, kids can also try the zipline, get their faces painted, and bounce on inflatables.
Wildflower Festival

MAYfest
Surprise Lake Camp, Cold Spring, NY

This two-day, three-night festival centered around Music, Art, and Yoga (MAY) takes place at Surprise Lake Camp in Cold Spring. The festival offers over 40 classes, ranging from paddle board yoga to sound meditation to Pilates. The Garrison Art Center will be sponsoring drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking classes. Entertainment includes musical performances by reggae, bluegrass, jazz, and funk artists. On-site cabins are available, as well as free camping.

Sugar Loaf is an extremely walkable little village, and each Memorial Day Weekend you’ll find it packed to the gills with people poring over arts and crafts, eating treats and listening to live music.
