In recent months, we’ve featured roundups of some of our favorite cideries and breweries in the Hudson Valley. So we thought before the fall is over it would be fitting to share some local distilleries too! There are numerous distilleries to visit in Upstate New York and many in the Hudson Valley offer tours and tastings for visitors to enjoy.
Here are some of our favorite local distilleries to check out during your next trip to the Hudson Valley!
Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery
Gardiner, NY
The maker of Hudson Whiskey, Tuthilltown Spirits, is located on 36 acres in the heart of the Hudson Valley at the the foot of the Shawangunk Mountains. Offerings include tours, guided tastings, and cocktail workshops. Enjoy drinks and snacks in their visitor center which includes a shop, tasting room, and cocktail bar.
Coppersea Distilling
New Paltz, NY
Located in New Paltz, Coppersea is a true “grain-to-glass” farm distillery, operating an organic 75-acre farm. Using techniques such as open fermentation and direct-fired stills gives their whiskey’s distinguishing flavors and unique attributes. Enjoy tastings, cocktails and the beautiful view from their indoor/outdoor tasting room.
Arrowood Farms
Accord, NY
Known mostly for their beers, Arrowood also offers unique small batch spirits handcrafting their own bourbon, vodka, and gin. The barley, wheat, rye and corn used in their spirts are all grown at their farm brewery in Accord.
Catskill Provisions
Callicoon, NY
100% raw wildflower honey is the star ingredient Catskill Provisions’ handcrafted line of products. Visit for guided tours and tastings (indoor and outdoor tables available). A full menus is available using ingredients from local farms, including gorgeous cheese boards.

Cooper’s Daughter
Claverack, NY
Cooper’s Daughter Spirits at Olde York Farm is a woman-owned and family-operated distillery sourcing foraged and farmed Hudson Valley ingredients to make seasonal, small batch spirits. The farm consists of apples orchards and black walnut tree groves to produce their vodka, whiskey, and bourbon. Visit their cocktail garden year round- it’s stocked with tents, propane heaters and an over sized fire pit for those cold days ahead!
