Another year, another Upstate Art Weekend! We were so excited to see that Upstate Art Weekend was featured in the New York Times this year and is getting the wide recognition it deserves. We stopped by a bunch of spots and as always loved learning about so many artists.
Ravenwood
We love stopping by to see our friends at Ravenwood – especially during UAW.
Speaking of Ravenwood and their wonderful co-founder and local artist Dana McClure, Studio MM recently launched VALLEY MMAG, which showcases some amazing talent in the Hudson Valley. Dana McClure was on the cover and the focus of their feature story in the first issue.
Ruth Freeman
Ruth Freeman had such an amazing collection of new works ranging in all sizes and colors. It was so special for us to be able to see her workspace and all of her materials.
The Starlite Motel
We of course had to stop by to see our friends at The Starlite Motel who have a new site-specific piece by Yuri Masnyj that is now permanently installed at the Starlite.
Wolfhouse
We then stopped by Wolfhouse by Philip Johnson which Jiminie Ha and Jeremy Parker have been working on for the last 3 years to restore. We were so excited to get a reservation!
Artport Kingston
Artport Kingston had such a fun and colorful exhibition, Joy Ride.
Foreland
Foreland also packed in the color this weekend!
Elijah Wheat Showroom
