Modern Accord Depot
Accord, NY
This once historic train depot has been transformed into a “dynamic arts residency space and one-of-a-kind Hudson Valley getaway”. Renovated by the architecture team behind our homes, Studio MM Architect, Modern Accord Depot hosts “artists or non-profit arts organizations in need of residency space and travelers from near and far, in search of unforgettable vacation experiences.” The second-floor “bunk” room has six individual sleeping pods, giving dancers, artists and guests a semi-private place to rest and recharge. Reminiscent of bunks in a sleeping car, the design is a subtle nod to the depot’s history, while playful pops of color add a lively and whimsical touch.
