We’ve shared different local adventures including a day in Kingston, Woodstock, and New Paltz, but we haven’t recently shared our go-to weekend outing which is in Accord! Accord is a quick car ride from Waterfalls Properties and has so many amazing small businesses to support. Kingston, Woodstock, and New Platz are commonly known for people outside of upstate, but we think Accord deserves the same hype! Accord has some of the best eats, weekly gatherings, and friendly neighbors. Come join us on a typical weekend to see all the fun we get up to!

Friday

Catskill Cocktail Club

After a long week and finally logging off work, for those of you who drink, you deserve a toast. We love going to the weekly Catskill Cocktail Club hosted at the Stonehill’s Farmhouse every Friday from 5:30-11:00pm. Bartenders Brendan and Lisa are the best!

Aside from unique cocktails, there are also pop-up food vendors to indulge in some bites throughout the night. When we went at the end of March, Aviva Falafel had a menu of small plates. We ate a hummus plate and olive oil orange cake – they were both delicious (too hungry to remember to take a picture)!

It’s so much fun to go unwind, bump into friends, meet new people, and even be able to share the bar with a furry friend!

Saturday

Damn Good Honey Farm

After a night of sipping on delicious cocktails, the best way to refuel in the morning is a sandwich. We went to Damn Good Honey Farm and got “The Wally Melt” a delicious panini with Bread Alone sourdough, sharp cheddar, parmesan, pears, and homemade caramelized sweet onion jam. While I’m sure you all know about Bread Alone by now, we went there during our Woodstock Adventure!

This sandwich is part of their new menu- go taste test the new items, they’re so good!

Westwind Orchard & Cidery 

We’ve talked about Westwind on our blog before – it has definitely made our list of our favorite cideries and was featured in our day trip to both Westwind and Arrowood. A great place to relax, try new ciders, eat pizza, and watch dogs run around, Westwind is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy some slowness. Now that the weather is warming up, we can’t wait to spend more weekends here.

Sunday

Mill & Main

On Sunday we popped into Mill & Main to grab some pastries and a coffee. Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked goods and catching up with Claudia!

Cherries Ice Cream

Then to cure some Sunday scaries we stopped by Cherries Ice Cream! I got their Coffee Toffee flavor and the hazelnut chocolate- a great combo. You can also get milkshakes and sundaes!

That about wraps up our weekend in Accord! These businesses are some of our favorites and most visited spots in the area, but there are many more to check out. Everyone running these fun spots is so kind and friendly – Accord has a great vibe!
